Jay-Jay Feeney & Dom Harvey,

Owners & Founders of PodLab

We have been on the radio in New Zealand for over 60 years collectively. Since 2022, Dom has hosted his own successful show, The Dom Harvey Podcast. Between us we have won countless radio awards, including the Sir Paul Holmes Award, the highest honour in NZ radio, and written five best-selling books. The Dom Harvey Podcast has won more awards than any other New Zealand podcast.

We are using that experience to help individuals and companies develop, create, publish and promote their podcasts to the world. Connecting with audiences and sharing great stories is a privilege and a passion, and we love helping others do the same.

01 / THE FOUNDERS

The people behind the desk

Co-founder / Host

Dom Harvey

Dom left a hugely successful radio career in 2021 to become a professional podcaster. The Dom Harvey Podcast is one of New Zealand's most listened-to shows, with around 60,000 downloads each week. In November 2024 it won Podcast of the Year at the NZ Podcast Awards, and has won many other awards for his podcast since. It is fair to say he knows the secret to a great podcast.

Jay-Jay Feeney

Jay-Jay started in radio at the age of 15. Over her 35-year career, she won multiple radio awards, wrote two best-selling books, appeared on numerous TV shows and is a columnist for Woman's Day. She hosts her own successful podcast, How To Have Sex. She left radio to open PodLab with Dom.

Studio Manager / Producer

Jazzmin Heaven

Yes, that is her real name. Jazz brings creativity and artistry to PodLab, backed by studying Fine Arts at Elam. Her talents extend into set design for theatre, and with 12 years in TV production, five as a Producer and Director on TV3's The Cafe, she has a sharp eye for visuals.

Studio ENGINEER

Sharnah Pascoe-Scouller

Sharnah helps run our studio, while balancing her studies at AUT. She is doing her Master's in Media Innovation and writing her thesis on podcasting. She is a self-proclaimed massive geek, evident from the giant Star Wars mousepad on her desk and plays ice-hockey in her spare time.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Jacob Montague

Jacob works with us part-time between his studies at the university. He helps us run recording sessions, edits video, and assist Dom with The Dom Harvey Podcast. Unrelated, he also has great taste in music.

DANISH INTERN / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Valdemar Ervo

Valdemar is affectionately known as 'The Great Dane' because he is from Denmark! He is working at PodLab on a six-month internship through his Copenhagen University. He studied Podcasting at AUT and is passionate about podcast production. He is working on our in-house projects, like 2 Young To Vote, hosted by Henry Blakeman.
